Ingredients For quick cheese burger chowder

  • 2 C. Frozen Ground Meat Mix*
  • 1/4 C. Water
  • 2 C. Cubed, peeled potatoes
  • 1/2 C. Chopped celery
  • 1/4 C. Chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. Chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Instant beef bouillon granules
  • 1 1/4 C. Water
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 1/2 C. Milk
  • 3 Tbsp. All purpose flour
  • 4 oz. Cheddar cheese (shredded)

How To Make quick cheese burger chowder

    In a large saucepan, combine frozen Ground Meat Mix and 1/4 cup of water. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes; break up meat mixture with a fork. Cover; cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in potatoes, celery, onion, green pepper, bouillon granules, 1 1/4 cups water, and salt. Cover; cook 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. In a small mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of the milk and the flour; stir into meat mixture. Add remaining milk. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add shredded cheese to saucepan; heat and stir until cheese melts. Garnish individual serving with additional shredded cheese, if desired. *Ground Meat Mix recipe located in this program
