Ingredients For skunk solution

  • 1 bottle
    dawn dish soap
  • 1 bottle
    white vinegar

How To Make skunk solution

  • 1
Wet the dog and work the Dawn into a lather all over Leaving the suds on, mix 1/4 white vinegar and 3/4 water (I did about a gallon). Pour OVER the sudsy lather and let set 5-15 minutes...or as long as the poor dog can stand it. Rinse off.

You may repeat the process however, it sure took care of the smell. I was cautious to not get the soap or vinegar into Fred's eyes and since he got hit pretty square in the face, I could detect just a wiff or slight trace on his muzzle when he went out and sniffed the early morning dewy bushes.
