Do you, like me, love the crisp feel of freshly starched clothes but hate buying the never ending bottles of spray starch. When I was a child we made our own spray starch. Regular corn starch was dissolved into water and poured into a shaker. Then the starch and water solution was sprinkled onto the laundry to be ironed.

Ingredients For homemade laundry starch

  • 2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 c
    room temperature water
  • 1
    spray bottle
  • 1
    drop of favorite essential oil (optional)

How To Make homemade laundry starch

    Mix cornstarch with the water until completely dissolved. If desired add one drop of your favorite essential oil to give your clothes a nice smell).

    Pour mixture into a spray bottle then shake the bottle for a few seconds each time before using.
