Last Christmas my husband Anthony surprised me by bringing home a small pine tree and I was so excited to get finally get a "REAL" tree that I knew just what I wanted to do with it. I wanted to decorate it with all natural items so that after displaying it for Christmas I could put it outside for the birds and animals to enjoy. Here is my first attempt at decorating an all natural tree. My little doggies really enjoyed it too. They were licking the oranges and smelling all the goodies on the tree. It was too cute!

cereal, multi-grain cheerios

cinnamon sticks

bay leaves

popcorn

string, twine or ribbon
How To Make my little living pine tree

1Slice your fruit into very thin slices and bake at 200 degrees for about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. I flipped them once. Keep checking them till they are dried the way you want them. I put a little honey on some of my dried fruit and some sprinkled sugar. -
2String popcorn, cereal, fresh cranberries, bay leaves and cinnamon sticks individually or mix them on the same string.

3Decorate tree how you want to.

4Miss Tibby & Paczki our Schnoodles admiring the tree. After the New Year I put this tree out on the back porch for the birds to admire and munch on the goodies, so it served a dual purpose. I took a picture but cannot find it right now. Will have to add it after making one this year.
