Ingredients For jerk turkey wraps

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 md
    red onion, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 lg
    portobello mushroom caps, chopped
  • 2 md
    plum tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 1
    chipolte en adobo, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    jamaican jerk seasoning
  • 1 lb
    ground skinless turkey
  • 12
    large boston lettuce leaves
  • 1/4 c
    prepared thick chunky salsa

How To Make jerk turkey wraps

    Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the red onion and garlic;cook, stirring, until softened. Stir in the mushrooms, tomatoes, chipolte, vinegar, and jerk seasoning; cook, stirring until the mushrooms brown. Add the turkey and cook, stirring to break it up, until cooked through.

    Place 3 lettuce leaves on each of 4 plates. Place 1/4 cup filling and 1 teaspoon salsa on each one and roll up. Serve.
