This quick and easy sandwich is a creation of mine. I had some turkey cutlets I needed to use, plus some Ciabatta rolls. I've made chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, so why not turkey? The kids loved them and said to please make them again. I made a sauce for mine, but they would be wonderful with just mayonnaise. These cutlets are wonderful out of bread as well, with the sauce on the side for dipping. That's how I ate mine. Yum! Enjoy!

  • 1 tsp

How To Make ~ chicken fried turkey sammie & spicy remoulade ~

  • 1
Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate for about 1 hour. Pound out your turkey cutlets to 1/8 - 1/4 inch thickness, between sheets of plastic or I use a zip lock baggie.
  • 2
In a shallow bowl, beat egg with 3 tablespoons water. On a paper plate, combine flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder with the flour. In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons oil over medium heat. Dip cutlets one at a time into egg mixture, let drip off then coat in flour mixture, shaking excess off. Once oil is hot, place cutlets into hot oil, not crowding and fry for 3 - 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through and golden. Drain on paper towels. Salt while hot, if preferred.
  • 3
Cut the turkey cutlets into desired size pieces to fit whatever bun you're using. Toast buns or place on grill for a few minutes. Add lettuce, cutlet, tomato onion and preferred amount of sauce. Delicious!
