slow-cooked peachy pork chops

I've been making this for years and my husband loves these chops, and it's one way to get him to eat fruit, lol. Very saucy and tender, these chops go well with rice or baked potatoes.

Ingredients For slow-cooked peachy pork chops

  • 5
    bone-in pork chops, any visible fat removed
  • 1/4 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves
  • 1
    8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1
    29 oz can cling peach halves, 1/4 cup syrup reserved
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar, i used cider vinegar
  • salt & pepper to taste

How To Make slow-cooked peachy pork chops

    Spray a lg skillet w/ cooking spray, place over med-high heat. Brown chops on both sides, pour off any fat.

    In bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, tomato sauce , reserved peach syrup, and vinegar, mix well.

    Sprinkle chops w/ salt and pepper and place in a 4-quart slow-cooker. Place peaches on top of chops. Pour sauce over peaches. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hrs, or until chops are cooked through, but tender.
