Ingredients For pork steaks

  • 4
pork steaks (1/2" thick or more)
  • 1 bottle
    teriyaki sauce
  • 4 can
    pineapple juice (4 oz cans)

How To Make pork steaks

  • Pork in zip lock before adding the marinade
    1
Place pork steaks (1/2" thick or more) into zip lock bag...we usually have to ask the butcher to cut pork steaks as they are not placed in the case...looks like a big pork "T-bone" steak
  • Simple ingredients: pineaplle juice
    2
Add 2 cans pineapple juice (the small 4 oz cans...come in 6 packs) to the bag containing the steaks
  • Simple ingredients: Teriyaki
    3
Add 1/2 bottle teriyaki sauce to bag, zip closed and rotate a number of times to mix the liquids
  • Classic for any marinade...zip lock and put in the fridge, turn a couple of times over a few hours or up to 1/2 day
    4
Double the above to make 8 steaks...allow marinade to work for 24 hours in fridge, rotating the bag in the fridge once or twice
  • I use a hot grill to sear in the juices, and try to cook them 6 min one side, 4 the other for med depending upon thickness...I always test cut my pork to be just a tad pink so they are med after coming off grill and resting for a minute or two
    5
Place on grill...don't cook well, but cook to medium...a hint of pink is ok...usually 10 minutes for the best shoulder cut of 12 ounces of 1/2" - 3/4" thick, 15 minutes for 1" thick (if 1" thick double the marinade time). With pork I always make a test cut to check doneness. Using a thermometer, 145° is perfect med rare with slight pink. Take off grill at 140° after flipping every 3 minutes and let rest for 5 minutes. 160° is medium.
  • Pork Steak from the grill with sides...moist and flavorful!
