Ingredients For pork party balls

1 lbground pork
-
1 canwater chestnuts, minced
-
1/2 cgreen onions, minced
-
1 tspfresh or preserved ginger, minced

3/4 tspsalt
-
1 Tbspsoy sauce
-
1egg, slightly beaten
-
1/2 cbread crumbs
-
cornstarch (enough to roll in)

3 Tbspvegetable oil
- SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE
-
1/2 cgreen pepper, cubed
-
1/2 cred pepper, cubed
-
2carrots, thinly sliced
-
1 canpineapple, with juice
-
1/4 cvinegar
-
1 Tbspsoy sauce
-
2 Tbspsugar
-
1/2 cbeef broth
-
2 tspfresh ginger, minced
-
2 Tbspcornstarch
-
1/3 cwater
How To Make pork party balls
-
1Combine pork, water chestnuts, onions, ginger, salt, soy sauce, egg and bread crumbs in large bowl; mix well.

2Shape into 36 balls
-
3Roll in cornstarch to coat lightly; shake off excess.

4Brown in oil in large skillet; remove balls as they brown to a roasting pan; cover loosely with foil.

5Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.

6Combine with sweet and sour sauce.

7SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE Sauté peppers and carrots in 1 T. of oil in large saucepan until tender-3 min. Stir in 1 can of pineapple with juice, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, beef broth and ginger. Combine 2 T. Cornstarch in 1/3 c. water; stir into sauce. Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
