2 lbground beef

1 lbground pork

3 canbaked beans (large can)

1 cankidney beans, canned (large can)

1 canrotel diced tomatoes with chiles

1 jarspaghetti sauce
-
1onion chopped
-
1 pkgsliced mushrooms

2 cloveminced garlic
-
1 Tbspchili powder
-
1/2 pkghersheys chocolate bar
-
1/2potato
-
1red pepper, chopped
-
pinchsalt and pepper
-
1 tspgarlic powder

1 tspitalian seasoning
-
1/2 cbeer
- OPTIONAL TOPPINGS

sour cream

grated cheddar cheese

chopped green onion

frito scoop chips

How To Make islandjenn's no-tootin chili

1Brown meat in a large pot. Add onions and garlic and cook until meat is done.

2Add mushrooms, red pepper, and can of rotel tomatoes, continue to cook about 5 minutes.

3Add spaghetti sauce and beer (optional).

4Drain can of kidney beans and add to pot. Add all of baked beans and stir gently.

5Add all seasoning (italian seasoning, garlic powder and chili powder). Stir gently.

6Clean a russet potatoe and cut in half. Place potatoe in bottom of pan. The potatoe acts like a sponge, soaking up the stuff from beans that gives you the "toots".

7Simmer on low heat for 1-2hrs, OR transfer into slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6hrs.

8About 20 minutes before serving REMOVE POTATOE from pot. Add hersheys chocolate bar and stir gently until melted.

9Top bowl of chili with teaspoon of sour cream, grated cheddar cheese and chopped green onions. Serve with Frito Scoop chips or sliced french bread.
