Ingredients For hognob pork stew

  • 3 lb
    boneless pork roast
  • 1 lb
    baby carrots
  • 2 lg
    sweet potatoes
  • 1 lb
    green beans (may use frozen)
  • 1 lb
    sweet corn (may use frozen)
  • 2 lg
    apples
  • 1/2 lb
    mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 lg
    onion
  • 1/2 c
    maple syrup
  • 6 clove
    garlic
  • 1 qt
    chicken broth, low salt
  • 1 c
    wine (rose or white zin)

How To Make hognob pork stew

  • 1
    Cube and brown pork.
  • 2
    Chop onions, dice garlic, slice mushrooms and saute together until tender.

    Peel and chunk sweet potatoes and apples.
  • 4
    Halve baby carrots.
  • 5
    Put all ingredients in large slow cooker and set on high for 1 hour.

    Reduce heat to low and cook for 6 hours.

    Add salt and pepper to taste and finish cooking for 1 hour.

    Serve with buttered, fresh bread of your choice and enjoy!
