My family loves the pasta and sausage. I love the clean-up. I use the same pot to cook the pasta, cook the sausage and to make the sauce.

Ingredients For one pot pasta

1 lbpasta of choice

1 lbitalian sausage links

2 cantomatoes diced (28oz.)

1 cantomato paste
-
1onion, diced
-
2 Tbspolive oil
-
1 Tbspitalian seasoning

2 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspblack pepper
-
1 pinchred pepper flakes
-
1 cfreshly grated cheese
-
3 cwater, divided
How To Make one pot pasta

1Cook pasta al dente, drain and set aside.

2In the same pan, brown and cook sausage using 1 cup water. (Simmer 30 mins.) Remove from pan. Cut sausage links into 2-3inch pieces.

3Using the same pan, saute onions in olive oil until soft. Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.

4Add diced tomatoes, 2 cups water, and seasonings. Cook for 30 minutes.

5Place pasta in large serving bowl. Add half the sauce to the pasta and top with the cooked sausage.

6Serve with grated cheese and the remainder of the sauce.
