I can't edit the photo, but this is my little spike I got last fall. I drew a elk cow tag this year. Still no antelope tag. I got him at 80 yds. using my Thomson Encore, 300 win mag. One shot.

How To Make my little spike elk!

1Pack your butt up the side of mountain. Go first because your ogre of a husband (6'6") is too noisy. Sit on downed log, patiently call using your Primos Hot Lips making sure it sounds as seductive as possible. When you see elk coming at you like a locomotive, make a little mew to make him stop and wait till he turns broadside. Raise rifle carefully to shoulder and release pent up air. Fire.
