This is a true hot dog chili recipe made for hot dogs but also great for making the perfect chili burger :) Enjoy!

Ingredients For pa hot dog chile

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 md
    yellow onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 1 sm
    can chili powder, 1.5oz
  • 1/2 tsp
    sage
  • 1/4 c
    plain bread crumbs
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    cheyanne pepper
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • water to cover

How To Make pa hot dog chile

  • 1
    Brown ground beef and onion in oil breaking up as you would for sloppy joes.

    Add remaining 8 ingredients and stir.

    Add water just to cover, bring to a simmer and cook for an hour with a cover.

    Break up and large pieces of meat til minced, stir and serve over hot dogs and hamburgers :)
