Ingredients For peppy turkey chili

1 mdonion, finely chopped

1 mdgreen pepper, chopped

1 tspolive oil

2 clovegarlic, crushed

1 lblean ground turkey

1 can(28 oz.) reduced sodium crushed tomatoes

1 can(14 oz.) low sodium tomato puree
-
1 can(16 oz.) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
-
1 can(16 oz.) black beans, drained and rinsed

2 Tbspchili powder
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
1 tspcumin
-
hot sauce, to taste

2 tspbrown sugar
-
salt and pepper to taste
How To Make peppy turkey chili

1In a deep saucepot over medium-high heat, saute onion and pepper in olive oil for 3 to 5 minutes.

2Add garlic and cook an additional minute. Add ground turkey and brown for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato puree and turn heat to low.

3Add beans and spices and simmer, stirring occasionally until mixture thickens. Add additional seasoning if needed.
