Ingredients For dale's divinity shrimp

  • SHRIMP STOCK
  • 2 clove
    water
  • shells from 1
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 lb
    shrimp, pureed
  • DIVINITY SAUCE
  • 1 lb
    jumbo shrimp, sauteed
  • 1 lb
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 c
    shrimp stock
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    chives, chopped
  • 3/4 c
    sliced fresh mushrooms

How To Make dale's divinity shrimp

    FOR THE SHRIMP STOCK: Simmer water, shrimp shells and salt over low heat until reduced to 1 cup of liquid. Remove shells and add the pureed shrimp.

    DIVINITY SAUCE: Mix all the ingredients and heat in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. When sufficiently heated, serve on a bed of white rice. Garnish with fresh mushroom slices and chives.

    NOTE: This dish looks lovely when served in a porcelain rarebit dish, garnished with fresh sliced mushrooms and chives.
