This is not the usual salmon seasoned with that "lemon pepper seasoning" from a shaker bottle. It has real, fresh lemon and fresh ground black pepper flavor. It's an easy, quick entree and easy, quick clean-up. Bake it in the oven or throw it on the grill. It cooks in ten minutes. Healthy, flavorful, quick and easy... perfect for even the busiest day.

Ingredients For lemon pepper salmon in foil

  • 1 tsp
    butter
  • 1 or 2 slice
    lemon, thin
  • 1 pinch
    sugar
  • 1
    4 to 6 oz. salmon filet
  • 1 pinch
    sea salt
  • 1 pinch
    (generous) freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 dash
    old bay seasoning or cajun (optional)
  • 1 pinch
    chopped parsley, fresh or dried (optional)
  • 1 dash
    fresh lemon juice

How To Make lemon pepper salmon in foil

    Place oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 425º F.

    Use 1/2 teaspoon butter to grease one square foot piece of aluminum foil to within 2 inches of the edges.

    Place lemon slice(s), off-center, on foil and sprinkle with a pinch of sugar.

    Place salmon on lemon slice(s) and sprinkle with salt, pepper, old bay or cajun seasoning (if using), parsley (if using) and a light squeeze of lemon juice.

    Fold foil over fish; close the 3 open sides by firmly folding each at least twice.

    Place foil packet on baking sheet and bake at 425º F for 10 minutes.

    Remove from oven; cut or tear open packet very carefully to avoid steam burn.
