My husband is Irish, he wanted a little different twist on that old shepard's pie. So, I slapped some ingredients together and he loved it! It really fills you up and sticks to your ribs!

  • 2 stalk
    celery
  • 1 bunch
    scallions
  • 6 md
    potatoes
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 can
    cream of celery souo
  • 1 pkg
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • pepper
  • basil
  • oregano, dried
  • lawry's seasoned salt
  • accent

How To Make irish cheesy burger bake

  • Boil peeled, cut up potatoes until tender

    Wash, peel, and cut potatoes into quarters. Cover with water and boil until tender. To prevent boiling over, place a wooden spoon across the too of pan while cooking.

    Clean and chop up scallions and celery to small pieces. Amount can be varied to your tastes.
  • Fry scallions, celery, seasonings, and ground beef

    Fry celery, scallions, and ground beef together.
  • Drain grease off of ground beef

    When ground beef has no red meat left, drain grease off.

    When potatoes are tender, drain water carefully, add small amount of milk, salt and pepper, and 3/4 stick margarine and mash.
  • Cream of celery soup mixed with 1 can water

    Take Cream of Celery soup and place in bowl, add about a can of water and mix well.

    Combine beef mixture with soup mixture.

    In large pyrex bowl, spray with cooking spray, add a later of mashed potatoes, handful of cheese and then beef mixture. Layer again, add a few pieces of butter on top, too with remaining cheese or add more.

    Bake about 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
