Here's to you Fireman Bob. I took some of your favorites and came up with this main dish. Hope you like it. There is enough for leftovers!!

Ingredients For slow cooker spicy beef and leeks

  • 4 1bs. beef short ribs, trimmed of fat
  • 1 large jalapeno, diced (leave seeds in for heat)
  • 5 large leeks, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 envelope brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup broth or water

How To Make slow cooker spicy beef and leeks

  • 1
    Brown ribs in skillet over medium high heat. Remove and place in slow cooker. Add hot pepper, leeks, thyme, and garlic.

    Drain fat from skillet and add stock or water and gravy mix, stirring well. Pour over ribs.

    Cook on low 8 hours or until ribs are tender.
