Dawn said she tried making this with a smaller roast, but, for some reason it didn't turn out like she wanted it to. So, she makes a big roast for two people. The next day, we make sandwiches. Then, the next day, we cut up the rest to make a stew. Around here, a lot goes to waist, but, nothing goes to waste.

Ingredients For dawns pot roast

  • 4 lb
    beef rump roast
  • 1 pkg
    dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup

How To Make dawns pot roast

  • 1
    Place a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil in baking pan, 13x9x2; place the meat on the foil.

    Sprinkle dry soup mix over top of meat & spread cream of mushroom soup over everything.

    Fold foil over meat & seal securely.

    Cook in 350º oven for 3 hours. No need to preheat the oven.
