Ingredients For cincinnati chili

  • 1 lg
    onion chopped
  • 5 clove
    garlic
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp
    each, cocoa powder, worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, tomato paste, and sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 tsp
    each cinnamon, and celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    each ground allspice and red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 2 c
    water
  • 15 oz
    can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz
    spaghetti cooked and drained
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c
    red onion minced

How To Make cincinnati chili

  • 1
    In food processor add onions and garlic and process until minced. Add beef and process until paste like. Place in large pan over med. high heat and cook until beef is done. drain and return to pan.

    Add remaining ingredients except spaghetti, cheese, and red onion. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. and simmer until thickened about 30 minutes.

    Serve over spaghetti and garnish with cheese and red onion.
