My favorite spaghetti sauce.Serve with Parmesan.

Ingredients For spaghetti meat sauce

  • 1
    green pepper
  • 1 med
    onion
  • 1 bud
    garlic
  • 1 box
    cooked sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can
    chopped tomatoes
  • 2 pkg
    lawrys spaghetti seasoning
  • 2 (12 oz) can
    tomato paste
  • 2 (15 oz) can
    tomato sauce
  • 1
    bay leaf, crumbled
  • 1 tsp.
    oregano, dried
  • 2 c
    red wine
  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef, browned
  • 1/4 c
    oil, vegetable
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 can
    chopped and drained pitted black olives

How To Make spaghetti meat sauce

    Saute 1 chopped med onion,1 chopped green pepper, 1 box sliced mushrooms, 1 chopped bud of garlic in 1/4 cup oil. Drain. Brown 2 lbs of lean ground beef, Drain and add to veggies. Add 2 packages of spaghetti seasoning. (Lawrys is good.) Add, 1 can chopped tomatoes, 2 (15 oz) cans of tomato sauce and 2(12 oz) cans of tomatoe paste, 1 tsp of oregano, 1 crumbled bay leaf, 3 TBLSPS of sugar. Stir well. Add 2 cups of Merlot or other smooth red wine and 1 cup of water. Simmer for several hours until flavors blend.
