I found a sausage soup online a while back. It was bland so I made some changes to it to suit my families taste. It has become one of our favorite soups when it is cold out. Enjoy!

Ingredients For sausage and bean soup

  • 1 lb
    mild italian sausage
  • 1 lb
    hot italian sausage
  • 4 lg
    carrots sliced
  • 3 md
    zucchini sliced and cut in half
  • 1 lg
    onion
  • 3 can
    northern beans do not drain liquid ( regular size cans
  • 4 can
    beef broth (regular size cans)
  • 2 can
    italian stewed tomatoes (regular size cans)
  • 1 lb
    spinach
  • 4 oz
    whole wheat rotini noodles
  • garlic powder
  • salt

How To Make sausage and bean soup

    season mild and hot italian sausage with garlic powder and brown.

    add sliced carrots,tomatoes,broth,beans,zucchini,and onion. let simmer until vegetables are soft.

    meanwhile cook rotini in seperate pot.

    when vegetables are cooked and soft add rotini and spinach and cook until spinach is cooked which should only take a few minutes. add salt and pepper to taste.

    serve hot with warm dinner rolls. Enjoy!
