In honor of my mom "pictured here" ! A couple of ladies on here were talking about what they remember their mothers making using soup. I had not thought about what similar meals we had, and after having wonderful memories stirred up I decided to post what my mom use to make here....sorry no pictures to go along :-( This is from memory...so I hope I remember it correctly..:-)))

Ingredients For going down memory lane....

  • two large cans of tuna - drained
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 can milk
  • 1/4 onion chopped
  • 1/4 green pepper chopped
  • 4 slices american cheese
  • 4 large rolls
  • salt and pepper

How To Make going down memory lane....

    Drain the tuna well.
  • 2
    Fry the onion and green pepper in a small amount of butter.

    Mix the soup with the milk. Add the onions and peppers. Mix, add the tuna. Add some salt and pepper.

    Cut the rolls in 1/2, top with the tuna mixture, and top with cheese.

    Place under the broiler till the cheese has melted.
