In days gone bye the aphrodisiac value of Shell fish was accepted as gospel. Men of the cloth and Women were in some societies barred from partaking of Shell Fish...and to this day a certain tribe of women in Africa abstain from eating the harvest from the sea.

Ingredients For aphrodisiac harvest of the ocean

  • 500 g
    large green prawns..butterfly and gently flatten
  • 1 kg
    fresh sea clams
  • 5 clove
    garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp
    chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tsp
    paprika, hot
  • 1 md
    lemon juiced, fresh
  • 1 md
    lemon cut into wedges
  • 1/2 tsp
    table salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    crushed black pepper
  • 1 sm
    bunch fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 c
    butter,unsalted

How To Make aphrodisiac harvest of the ocean

    keep prawns intact with head and shell on.
  • 2
    marinate prawns in above spices and lemon juice, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

    add prawns with the marinade into a basting pan and grill in a pre heated oven set at 200 degrees centigrade.

    turn a few times during grilling and keep basting with butter.

    serve whilst still juicy and piping hot...enjoy

    place clams in a dish covered with salted water for 20 minutes, allowing for clams to spit out sand from their shells,gently scrub the clam shells to remove any grit, rinse and set aside.Place clams in wok and add 2 x cans of 7 up lemonade and bring to the boil,discard unopened clams.Drizzle clams with garlic butter sauce and garnish with coriander leaves.
