I got this recipe from some of my moms recipes years ago, so not sure where it originated. But, it is one of my husband's favorite dishes and so easy to prepare. I usually serve it with rice and a side of vegetables. Enjoy!

Ingredients For chicken cantrell

  • 4 chicken breasts, skinned and boned
  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 2 packages of chipped ham
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

How To Make chicken cantrell

    In shallow casserole dish arrange the chipped ham slices to cover the bottom of dish.

    Wrap each chicken breast with a slice of bacon and place the breast on the sliced ham.

    Mix together the soup and sour cream and spoon the mixture over the meat and add salt and pepper to taste.

    Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours or longer, covered. Uncover and bake for 20-30 additional minutes.
