My mother used to make this all the time for the family when I was growing up! It was always one of my favorite dishes from home! I'd like to share it with others so that you can enjoy as well! "Quick easy meal, can use over egg noodles/rice etc. You can also use chicken in place of beef."

Ingredients For beef paprika

  • BEEF MIXTURE
  • 1 lb
    beef strips sliced thin or cubed
  • 1 tsp
    garlic clove/ minced
  • 1 md
    yellow onion sliced
  • SAUCE MIXTURE
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 3/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard powder
  • 1 or 2 dash
    red pepper/ cheyenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • THICKENING INGREDIANTS
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    flower
  • OPTIONAL ADD INS
  • mushrooms, jalepinos etc.

How To Make beef paprika

    Fry together beef strips, garlic and onion until tender and browned through completely.

    In medium bowl combine paprika, ketchup, brown sugar, worcestorshire sauce, dry mustard, and red pepper. Mix until smooth. Add cooked beef and onions stir in well, then add the water. Bring to a boil and thicken sauce with 1 cup water and 2 TBSP flower or how ever you choose to thicken your sauces. Let simmer on low heat for 5 minutes

    Boil rice noodles until tender, rinse with hot water and cover with Beef paprika then serve.
