Ingredients For unstuffed jalapeno popper burgers

  • 2
    jalapeo peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 4 tsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 4 slice
    frozen garlic texas toast
  • 2
    medium onions, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1
    medium sweet red pepper, halved and thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    medium ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 c
    garlic herb cheese spread

How To Make unstuffed jalapeno popper burgers

  • 1
    Mix first five ingredients in a large bowl. Combine beef over mixture and mix well, shape into four oval patties. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160 and juices run clear. Meanwhile prepare texas toast according to pkg. directions. Saute onions and red peppers in butter in a large skillet until tender, spoon onion mixture obto toast slices, top each with a burger, avocado slices and cheese spread.
