How To Make the real deal philly cheesesteaks

1I'm from outside the Philly area (Pottstown) and I believe the magic of a Philly Cheesesteak is the type of pepper. BELL PEPPERS are NOT the proper peppers!!! An authentic cheesesteak would have sweet cherry peppers! HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!! And cheez-wiz is NOT appropriate either!! I'd have to call my cousin back east but I think it's either provolone or white american cheese. I would use ANY cheese other then cheez-wiz! The sauce used is a steak sauce. NOT MARINARIA and NOT PIZZA SAUCE!!! My cousin sent me 2 jars (I'll dig one up and post the web site if there is one). NOW if you would like it "Hoagie Style" (my favorite!) omit the sauce, peppers and grilled onions. Put mayo on your toasted bun, place hot meat and cheese on bun to melt mayo. Add SHREDDED lettuce, tomatoes, and raw onion (thinly sliced rings). THAT'S THE REAL DEAL!!!! I KNOW YOU'LL ALL ENJOY!
