spicy cheeseburger soup

No special story. Started out with plain, browned hamburger meat, drained, added a can of Campbell Cheddar Cheese Soup. Ate cheeseburger soup at friends house, and it kinda grew from there. Her kids did not like spicey, my kids liked spicier, the better. I added some things. Forgiving recipe, play with it, find your own taste and favorite way to fix. Im sure everyone has their own favorite recipe.

Ingredients For spicy cheeseburger soup

  • 1 1/2
    cup water,
  • 1 1/2-2
    cups cubed poatoes
  • carrots grated, to taste
  • small onion chopped, to taste
  • 1/4-1/2
    cup chopped green peppers
  • 1
    jalapeno pepper, seeded and hopped
  • 1
    garlic clove minced
  • 1 tbs
    beef bouillon granules
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 lb
    ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 2-2 1/2
    cups milk, divided
  • 8 oz
    your choice cheese, grated or cubed
  • 3 tbs
    flour
  • 1/2 lb
    bacon, fried and crumbled

How To Make spicy cheeseburger soup

    In large saucepan, combine the first 9 ingredients, bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer, till potatoes are tender.

    Stir in beef and 2 cups milk. Heat through. Combine flour and remaining milk till smooth. Gradually stir into soup.

    Bring to a boil, cook and stir till thick and bubbly. Reduce heat, stir in cheese till melted. Add cayenne if desired. Top with bacon just before serving.
