I found this recipe on recipezaar.com and since my family likes to experiment with different flavors, we decided to give it a shot. The mixture of Caribbean-inspired spices gives it a sweet and spicy flavor that is different but SO good. You might want to cut down on the red pepper flakes if you don't like spicy foods. But if you do don't change a thing. You won't be disappointed.

Ingredients For jerk ribeyes

    ribeye steaks, 12 ounces each
  • 2 Tbsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 4 Tbsp
    canola oil

How To Make jerk ribeyes

    Combine all ingredients except steaks in a small bowl.

    Rub seasoning mix on steaks. Place steaks in a large plastic bag and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

    Prepare your grill for cooking at medium-high heat.

    After marinating steaks for 1 hour, remove from refrigerator and let sit for 15-30 minutes. This step is very important as it allows your steaks to absorb the flavors.

    Grill steaks for about 6 minutes per side. Remove and let rest for approximately 5 minutes before serving. Keep steaks covered to keep warm. Serve and enjoy!
