Ingredients For italian steaks

  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 or 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 lb
    beef sirloin steak, boneless
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 c
    pizza sauce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c
    shredded parmesan, romano, & asiago cheese blend

How To Make italian steaks

    In a shallow bowl, whisk egg. In another shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.

    Cut the steak into four pieces; dip each piece in egg, then coat with bread crumb mixture.

    In a large skillet, cook steaks in oil for 5 minutes on each side. Add garlic and cover; continue cooking over low heat for 20 minutes.

    Meanwhile, heat sauce in a small saucepan. Spoon over steaks; sprinkle with cheese and serve.
