This recipe has been posted here for play in Culinary Quest - Japan. Recipe found at website: justonecookbook.com Recipe by Namiko Chen of Just One Cookbook. Gyudon (or Beef Donburi/ Beef Bowl) is Japanese comfort food, it can be prepared quickly and it has beef, onion, eggs, and rice in it. In Japan, gyudon is served with a raw egg yolk on top. Since raw eggs are not recommended to be consumed in the U.S., I suggest that you cook the eggs right before serving. This is how my mom served her gyudon, the egg in the recipe is optional.
