My mother in law came to visit from New York and named this Cowboy stew. It is an easy dish to make and we love it. It is now a hit in NY as well!

Ingredients For spicy cowboy stew

  • 1 lb
    ground hamburger meat
  • 1 jar
    spicy v8 vegetable juice, large jar
  • carrots
  • potatoes
  • 1 sm
    onion
  • 1 can
    green beans, canned or fresh
  • 1 can
    corn, canned or fresh
  • 1 can
    tomatoes, canned, large
  • 1 can
    diced green chiles, canned or fresh
  • clove
    garlic

How To Make spicy cowboy stew

    Cook and drain hamburger meat.

    In a large soup pot , add Spicy V8, then all vegetables. You can vary or add any vegetables to this. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Add water so that it can reduce. I use anywhere from 1-2 cups of water. It can take as little as an hour to cook depending on how much you want it reduced and your vegetables cooked.
