Ingredients For dynamites

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2
    26 ounce canned or jarred sauce (i use ragu)
  • 1 can
    (12 ounce) tomato paste
  • 2 lb
    green bell peppers, cut into 1" strips
  • 2 lb
    red bell peppers, cut into 1" strips
  • 2 lg
    onions, cut into 1
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 c
    water (i use as needed)
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    basil
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper (more or less for your taste)
  • 1 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes (more or less for your taste)
  • 2 pkg
    sub rolls (or your favorite rolls)

How To Make dynamites

  • 1
    In large dutch oven, cook ground beef until browned,over medium-high heat. Salt and pepper meat to taste. Drain.

    Add cooked beef to dutch oven and add all remaining ingredients (add water as needed). Cover and simmer for up to 4 hours.

    Serve hot on your favorite sub roll with a side of potato chips, or macaroni or potato salad!
