1beef roast
-
potatoes (we preferred red), scrubbed. if using large potatoes, cut into pieces.

carrots, peeled and sliced
-
1 lgonion, peeled and sliced thin

1 pinchred pepper

salt & pepper, to taste
How To Make dad's pot roast

1In a roaster, place the roast in the bottom, then cover with the other ingredients. Amounts depend on your preferences. I really like the carrots, so always add a couple extra, just for me! (Mom also said to add a 1/2 to 1 cup of water in the roaster to keep things from burning... Dad says don't bother. Your choice!)
