I make this once a year around St. Patty's Day. I have made it many different ways and this recipe seems to be the winner in our house. It is a yummy dish that the whole family loves. Sometimes I add potatoes. Enjoy :)

Ingredients For corned beef and cabbage

  • 2-3 lb. corned beef brisket with seasoning packet
  • 8 wedges cabbage
  • 2 cups baby carrots
  • 1 cup onion
  • 12 oz. can beer
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. dijon mustard

How To Make corned beef and cabbage

    In a large crockpot, add carrots and onions. Rinse corned beef and pat dry. Place in crockpot and sprinkle with the seasoning mix. Pour beer overtop and rub mustard on the brisket. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar with water and pour over brisket. Cover crock pot and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours.

    Remove corned beef and cover with foil to keep warm. Add cabbage wedges to vegetables and liquid in crockpot. Cover crockpot and cook on high for additional 30 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
