Ingredients For coriander beef satays with honey tamarind glaze

    ground beef (ground chuck)
  • 2 Tbsp
    grated fresh ginger
  • 2
    garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1
    onion, grated
  • 1
    handful fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 tsp
    ground coriander
  • 1 tsp
    ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cardamom
  • 2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • FOR THE GLAZE
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated fresh ginger
  • 1
    garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    tamarind paste
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    honey
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make coriander beef satays with honey tamarind glaze

    Placed ground beef, ginger, garlic, onion, fresh coriander leaves, ground coriander, turmeric, chili powder, cumin cardamom, salt and pepper in a food processor; pulse until combined. Divide into 8 equal-sized portions. With wet hands, mould each portion round a separate skewer, shaping it into a sausage shape, about 8 inches long.

    For the glaze, combine ginger, garlic tamarind and honey.

    Lightly oil grill to prevent sticking. Grill over medium-hot coals, brushing with glaze, turning every 2 minutes, until well browned but still juicy (do not overcook), 8-10 minutes.
