Ingredients For bev's meatballs

1/2 lbground beef

1/4 cparmesan cheese, grated

1 cmushrooms, sliced

2.5 cantomatoes, canned italian style with juice

1 cantomato paste
-
1.5 tspsalt
-
1 tspsugar
-
1/2 tsporegano
-
1/4 cparsley, fresh and chopped
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
1minced garlic clove
-
1/4 cchopped onion
-
1/4 tsporegano
-
2 Tbspgrated parmesan cheese

1/2 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
1/4 tspgarlic powder
-
1egg
-
1/4 cmilk
-
1/2bread crumbs
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
How To Make bev's meatballs

1Mix ingredients in given order one by one.

2After completely mixed by hand, let stand for at least 20 minutes.

3Form into meatballs (golf ball size) and fry slowly until golden brown.

4Do not turn until completely done on one side and do not crowd pan.

5If not using non-stick pan, cook in 1/8 cup of oil.

6Tomato Sauce: Saute onion and garlic in butter for 5 minutes.

7Crush tomatoes into medium pieces.

8Add all ingredients except baking soda, mushrooms, and meatballs.

9Simmer in covered saucepan for 1 hour.

10Stir sauce often and keep heat low.

11Add browned meatballs and simmer 30 minutes.

12During last 15 minutes add mushrooms.

13During last 10 minutes add baking soda.

14If sauce is too thick, add water.

15If sauce is too thin, cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
