This is a recipe that's been in my family for a long time. Please note that some of the terminology will differ to yours. This recipe must have spring onions, I believe you call them scallions. Do you "take a plate" in the US? in other words contribute to a meal, party etc. This is one all my friends and family request, when I "take a plate"

How To Make mallee's honey chilli chicken
-
1If chicken is in larger pieces, cut into smaller pieces, hence the reason I use chicken nibbles. Coat chicken in seasoned flour.
-
2Fry chicken pieces until golden brown, the bigger the pieces, the longer you will need to fry them. Cook until chicken is cooked through. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
-
3Add peeled and grated (or thinly sliced) ginger and garlic to pan saute gently for 1 minute.Add honey and stir. Add combined water, chilli sauce, lemon juice and soy sauce, stir until sauce boils and thickens.
-
4Add chicken, toss in sauce for 3-4 minutes to heat through. Add sliced spring onions (scallions) cook a further minute. Serve over steamed rice.
