This came out of same book as "Low Country Punch". Have not tried this one either, not sure about sage leave. If anyone tries this recipe, post a comment about what sage is supposed to do to the drink. Here goes.

Ingredients For kentucky mimosa

  • 1/2
    cup sugar
  • 6
    large sage leaves
  • 1 1/2
    club soda
  • 1
    cup orange juice
  • 1/3
    cup bourbon

How To Make kentucky mimosa

  • 1
    Stir together sugar and 1/2 cup water in small saucepan over medium heat, bring to light boil and cook, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes or till sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, add sage leaves and let stand 5 minutes. Remove and discard leaves.

    Stir together syrup, club soda, orange juice and bourbon in large pitcher, add ice cubes to fill. Serve at once.
