I always heard my dad speak of how he loved my moms Tea she made when I was too young to even remember,,, Well when he passed away I found this recipe in his things idk if its my moms or if he got it from someone??? But thought I would share its some what confusing b/c idk the EXACT amount's you add of Tang and Tea b/c the jars are made differently than what I remember as a kid. Good luck if you make it and let me know how it turned out... looks like this is a pre made mix you can add to hot water... sounds good though I might have to try it I am sure I have as a kid but I don't remember.

Ingredients For russian tea

  • 1 lg
    jar of tang (this is a old recipe so idk if the cool aid container they have now is equivalent to the older jars)
  • 1 lg
    jar instant tea (lemon pre-sweetened) this is the same as above...
  • 6 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    cloves
  • 1/4 c
    red hots
  • 1 Tbsp
    (heaping tb) in cup water

How To Make russian tea

    Sorry I have never personally made this recipe, but I am thinking it sounds like a pre made mix for your hot water to make Russian Tea as I said above I think this is my mothers recipe but am not too sure b/c my father passed away and that is were I found the recipe... The jars are diffrent now than back in the day I remember as a child so I would hope the jars are the same size but not too sure if you are brave enough to attempt this let me know how it works out for ya.
