Another one I just came up with using what ingredients I happened to have in the kitchen. Turned out green and it started with almond silk - hence the title. This is a filling, nutritious, low fat and low calorie start to your day. You can even make it the night before; pop it into a covered container/travel mug, and it will be waiting for you to grab and go in the morning.

Ingredients For green silk breakfast smoothie

  • 3 cups almond silk milk
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 small orange, peeled
  • 1 frozen banana, broken into pieces
  • 1 ½ cups loosely packed baby spinach
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder

How To Make green silk breakfast smoothie

    In high-speed blender, blend all ingredients until smooth. (I use a Vitamix)

    Pour into two glasses and serve.
