My sister found this recipe in a magazine while waiting in a doctors office. We can't wait to try it! And with the football play-offs coming up not to mention Superbowl--what an easy cocktail to make ahead.

Ingredients For sisters whiskey slushy

  • 2 c
    crowne royal whiskey (or your favorite whiskey)
  • 6 c
    cranberry juice
  • 4 1/2 c
    pomegranate juice
  • 2 c
    orange juice, frozen concentrate
  • 2
    limes, juiced
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    water, cold
  • white soda (reg. or diet)

How To Make sisters whiskey slushy

    mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

    Pour into a large shallow freezer safe container (I would think a re-useable ice cream pail would work) Put into freezer and mix occasionally for the next few hours.

    when firmed up a bit--scoop a bit (1/2 cup) into a highball glass and serve with a splash of white soda on top. Stir until slushy.
