I love ouzo, and I'm always on the look-out for new ouzo drinks. It tastes a little like red licorice, so it's perhaps best reserved for those who adore (or at least like) the taste of licorice. If you use real cherry juice, this results in a bright red, sweet drink. So it would be a great cocktail to enjoy with your sweetheart on Valentine's Day.

Ingredients For ouzo cherry twister

  • 1 oz
    ouzo
  • 1 oz
    vodka
  • 2 oz
    cherry juice
  • 2
    maraschino cherries, for garnish
  • ice cubes

How To Make ouzo cherry twister

  • 1
    Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Add the ouzo, vodka and cherry juice, and shake vigorously until well blended.

    Strain into a short rocks glass over fresh ice cubes, and garnish with 2 maraschino cherries, and serve.
