This makes a great filling to my cream puffs. The flavors are so great with the chocolate and coffee.

Ingredients For mocha cream custard

2/3 csugar

3 Tbspcocoa
-
3 Tbspcornstarch

1 1/2 cmilk
-
2-3 tsppowdered instant espresso

1egg yolk, beaten
-
1 Tbspbutter or margarine

1/2 tsppure vanilla extract
How To Make mocha cream custard

1Stir together sugar, cocoa and cornstarch in medium saucepan; gradually add milk and instant coffee. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat.

2Gradually stir small amount of hot mixture into egg yolk, blending well; return mixture to pan. Heat just to boiling, stirring constantly.

3Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into bowl; press plastic wrap onto surface. Refrigerate until cold.
