Ingredients For magic lemon meringue pie

  • CRUST
  • 1 1/2 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 stick
    butter, melted
  • FILLING
  • 14 oz
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c
    lemon juice, fresh...2 lemons
  • 1 tsp
    grated lemon peel
  • 3 lg
    egg yolks, reserve whites
  • MERINGUE
  • 3 lg
    egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/4 c
    sugar

How To Make magic lemon meringue pie

  • 1
    CRUST: Mix together all crust ingredients until combined. Press into a 9" pie plate.

    FILLING: mix all ingredients together and pour into pie crust.

    MERINGUE: Beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in the sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over pie and seal to the edges.

    Bake fifteen to twenty minutes at 325 degrees. Chill 2 hours before serving.
