I actually think this is a Paula Deen recipe, she is my favorite! I made this pie for Thanksgiving with many turned up noses when i said what it was. One small taste from everyone turned into a pie that disappeared in minutes. Now everyone begs me to make them one for all family functions.

Ingredients For chocolate pecan pie

19 in pie crust.. (i just bought one in the frozen section)

2 cpecans, halved

3 lgeggs,beaten
-
3 Tbspbutter, melted
-
1/2 cdark corn syrup
-
1 csugar
-
2 Tbspgood quality bourbon (i just used jim beam)
-
3 ozsemi -sweet chocolate chopped ( chocolate chips are fine)
How To Make chocolate pecan pie

1preheat oven 375

2Cover bottom of pie shell with pecans. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and melted butter. Add the corn syrup,sugar,bourbon and chopped chocolate. Stir until all ingredients are combined. Pour mixture in pieshell over pecans and place on a heavy duty cookie sheet.Bake for 10 minutes. Then lower temp on oven to 350 and continue to bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
