I love making Sopapilla bars, but wanted to change it up for the holidays. I adapted a couple of my favorite recipes and came up with this. My husband has officially given up pumpkin pie for these.

Ingredients For creamy pumpkin-pie squares

2 canpillsbury crescent seamless dough

8 ozcream cheese, softened
-
14 ozsweetened condensed milk

2eggs
-
15 ozpumpkin
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
3 1/2 tsppumpkin pie spice (divided)

1/2 cbutter, melted
-
1/2 csugar
How To Make creamy pumpkin-pie squares

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray bottom of 9 X 13 pan with nonstick spray. Lay one Crescent Dough in bottom of pan. Bake for 5 minutes, then remove from oven. Reduce temperature down to 350 degrees F.

2In large mixing bowl, blend Cream Cheese until smooth. Gradually add Sweetened Condensed Milk. Blend in Eggs, Pumpkin, Salt and 2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice. Pour filling on top of Crescent Dough. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from oven.

3Lay 2nd Crescent Dough over top of filling, stretching to the edges. Pour butter on top of dough. Mix Sugar and 1 1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice together and sprinkle over Dough. Bake 25 minutes, or until top is browned and mostly dry.

4Cool completely and store in refrigerator. Cut into 40 squares before serving.
