A friend of mine found this recipe on the internet and gave it to me when she got tired of my whining about my favorite bakery not making Cappuccino Cheesecake anymore....

Ingredients For cappuccino cheesecake

  • FOR CRUST:
  • 1 2/3 c
    graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • FOR FILLING:
  • 32 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    unbleached white flour
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    instant coffee powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    boiling water

How To Make cappuccino cheesecake

    Preheat oven to 325 F
  • 2
    Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and margarine and press onto bottom of a 9 inch springform cake pan. Bake for about 10 minutes, and remove from oven

    Increase oven temperature to 450 F

    Combine cream cheese, sugar, and flour mixing at medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended.

    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition

    Blend in sour cream

    Dissolve coffee powder and cinnamon in boiling water; let cool

    Gradually add coffee mixture to cream cheese mixture, mixing until well blended

    Pour over crust and bake at 450 F for 10 minutes

    Reduce oven temperature to 250 F and continue baking for 1 hour

    Loosen cake from pan; let cool before removing rim of pan

    Whipped cream and whole coffee beans make a simple garnish for this cheesecake; with the Oreo cookie crumbs you can buy nowadays for the crust, combined with dark chocolate-covered coffee beans and a chocolate whipped cream for garnish, give it more of a mocha flavor....yummy!
